Valentine’s Day Paris Hotels Best Offers for February 14th
February has long been celebrated as a time of romance, even though the exact story of the saint whose name is linked to the 14th of the month has been obscured by the centuries. There were at least three early Christian saints named Valentine, and we don’t know for sure which one we celebrate on that date. Early Christians may have taken over an ancient pagan feast day called Lupercalia, a fertility celebration, and dedicated it to the mysterious St. Valentine, an arrangement which was formalised by Pope Gelasius in 496 A.D.
It was Geoffrey Chaucer who first linked St. Valentine’s Day and romance, so that by the 1700s the giving of gifts and handmade cards between lovers had become commonplace. This tradition became more fully entrenched during the Victorian era.
Today the tradition seems to be as strong as ever, and at the Vice Versa Hotel we like to do our best to help maintain it. Therefore, why not take advantage of our best offer for February 14th? This package includes one night in a Classic or Deluxe room, with breakfast and our very special Your Lovebox. If you want to know what’s in it, you’ll need to book!
