Christmas log 2013 in Paris : discover the 'buche de Noel'

Christmas log 2013 in Paris is a highlight of the festive season
For some of us Christmas is about snow and presents, while for others it’s a time of gourmet feasts, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and the glamorous yule log. Each year some of the top establishments in Paris produce their own unique buche de Noel.
Transport yourself to warmer climes with the beautiful 'Rio' buche de noel from Arnaud Delmontel. Filled with pineapple, coconut and coconut cream, this gorgeous yule log is decorated with a covering of faux tropical leaves and topped by an opulent red flower, and a visual feast.
Jean-Paul Hévin has created three buche de Noel for you to choose from. An elegant chocolate cage encases a delicate red log made with almond biscuit and passion fruit for 'Buche Best of Passion'. His 'Best of Paris' features famous monuments like the Eiffel Tower on an almond biscuit base, with chocolate mousse covered in delicate blackberry jelly to represent the cobbled streets of the city. Finally, the 'Best of JHP' log is a chocolate and creme brulee masterpiece.
This year, Christophe Roussel was inspired by Santa's hat. Six beautifully swirled hats sit on a light chocolate base. He calls his dessert 'surprise caps' and they are not only gorgeous, they're good for you! The healthy option, these delicious caps come in flavours like cranberry, cheesecake, acerola and are a real fruity, vitamin packed treat, topped with crispy glazed pom poms.
